So, last time, someone sent out a complaint concern about Castiel's preferred reading, and poor Cas didn't know what to do, so he filed a complaint of his own.



To whom it may concern,

Due to certain differences with my allocated partner I would like to apply for a relocation. It would be best if you could allocate me to a different sector or at least appoint me to a different co-worker. I fear that my work situation is compromising my integrity.
Lately it became increasingly difficult to focus on my duties as a messenger of the Lord (as appointed recently and contrary to my initial application as warrior). This may be due to personal differences but I still fear that unless the overall situation improves, I will not be able to fulfil my duties to the extent I would like to.
Moreover, I feel that it is unnecessary that my partner’s supervision extents to personal areas. It came to my attention that a complaint was filed regarding the way I chose to spend my spare time. I find this kind of meddling troublesome.

I would be very grateful if you could help me in this matter.

As you may know, the happiness of each and every one of our Angels, be it messenger or warrior (and please be assured that we do not regard one as more valuable as the other), is of our utmost concern.

We regret to inform you that we cannot agree to a relocation. You are very well settled within your sector and we strongly believe that remaining there will be very rewarding for your personal growth. Often we have witnessed adversaries becoming friends, and I'm sure that will happen in your case. While I do not know the nature of your differences, I'm sure you will be able to settle them on your own, and I'm certain that you will overcome your initial reaction to the concern filed by your follow angel. Please regard this not as a reprimand but a pointer for rectification. After consulting the file, I must advice you to at least consult the books offered for your progress; they were carefully picked by the Highest Order, and we believe they will be beneficial.

I know you wished for a different answer, but I'm certain that what you experience now is simply a crisis of faith, a lack of seeing what good you can do in your position.
Remember, some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

So you got the Manners vibes too? I have to admit that Zachariah's letter is a) very close to how I sound in letters from my firm and b) containing a line I directly stole from Holland Manners.

I'm tempted to introduce Anna, but I think she'd have a noble warrior thing going on. And then Cas would be stuck in the middle between warriorprincess and bouncerboy.

And I cannot stop writing them like this huge corporate thing, with hierachial structures and complaining forms and the like. It's so sad.

I don't know, since Anna also has this whole holier-than-thou-smugness going on, I don't know if she would be such a serious warrior princess, or not rather along the "First. With the firstness. First in the alphabet - first in Dean's pants"-line.

But, yes. They totally are that W&H corporate thing. They have hinted at not knowing what's going on upstairs, which, btw, Angel Sanctuary, and they are wearing the corporate suits. And Zachariah is Holland Manners. The hierarchical structures are also Catholic canon.

The higher up in the hierachy, the nicer the suits. Just look at Holland Manners Zachariah. And poor Cas, stuck in that trenchcoat. It's like working in the mailroom. No wonder he resorted to that silly fist fight. He probably doesn't even know how to wield a sword.

Anna is definitely "holier than thou" and smug, and probably the tiniest bit bossy. I really want to write that pants line now. I might have to steal it from you.

Messenger, there, I called it. He can't do a left hook to save his life. That's why he wasn't accepted into the warrior programme: he burnt himself on Gabriel's flaming sword.

And he says things like "fierce," for crying out loud.

Go for the nose, Cas! Dude, we learn that in self-defence. Nose, throat, groin, toes. VITAL ATTACK points. Get some basics.
