I'm getting the audio, but just a still pic for the video. Anyone have a notion about what's going wrong?

You might need another codex. Which player do you use and which version is it?

Realplayer came up for this file. I downloaded the most recent free Realplayer to see if that would do it, but no luck. Other video files are working. I then tried opening the file in Quicktime, but it said it didn't have a needed file.

I also tried downloading it a second time (sorry for hogging the bandwidth), in case the first download was corrupted. Same result.

I'd love to take you up on your offer to check on the codex for me, but PLEASE only do it if it's quick and easy for you. Thanks again.

I'm sure I can help you with that
it's coded with divx 5.1. and the sound is coded with mpeg 3

after downloading the divx codec you should have no problems at all.

Do you get it off the browser cache or a more difficult way?

More difficult, although browser cache works with some files. I used a program to snatch streaming files. There are quite a few good around. :)
