Mmm, I love it when he speaks a language I don't understand.

Which classifies me as silly fangirl but I couldn't care less :D

*hugs* How many *did* download it? Just out of curiousity...

As for the commenting: it's sad because I don't know who downloaded it. I normally don't get many comments, so I thought that just a few downloaded the clip.

Hee!

Um, is his Danish really so unusual? I think I remember someone saying it sounded americanised? Not that I can tell the difference... *facepalm*

Date: 2004-03-31 02:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cam-a.livejournal.com
Well he does have an american accent when he speaks danish, but it isn't bad.

It's the fact that he's actually speaking danish. I mean, here you have the actor who played Aragorn in LotR ect. and he actually speaks the same language as me. *lol* I mean he's a big "Hollywood" actor, and he speaks danish. That's very unusual. I can't really explain it, it's just funny to me.

I know it sounds retarded, but it just seems so strange to me. *grin*

Anyway, eventhou' he only half-danish, the danes are very supportive of him. The media here always refer to him as "our" Viggo Mortensen *lol*

It doesn't sound retarded at all. I'm quite impressed that he speaks more than one language. It is unusual after all, especially for an American actor. Of course, his background explains the Danish and Spanish, but it is still quite impressive that he wants to speak it and wants to learn more languages, i.e. Japanese and Lakota.

And I like it that the Danes refer to him as "their Viggo". That is so cute! :D And I think, he likes it very much. :)

Heh. Well I can't remember at which age Viggo lived here, but it's not unusual at all for danes to speak more than one language. All school children here are thought English and German (or French). On top of that, many of us undertand Sweedish and Norwegian (they are somewhat close to danish.) And if a student desides to go to a gymnasium, after, what I guess would be the same as the US. highschool, they also have the chance to learn Italian, Latin, Russian or Chinese, depending on the school.

(I personally have studied English, German, Italian and Latin, but I only speak German and English (and Danish, of course) *lol* never learned to speak propper Italian or latin.)) Heh.

I don't really remember either, but I think he learned Danish from his father rather than in school. I remember he grew up in South America, up until the age of 11.

And, wow, you sure know a lot of languages! I'm very impressed. I can only speak two fluently and go by several other, but I don't do well.

Dude you should so not be impressed, when you yourself speak two fluently etc.

Ta! I only wish I could speak more. As I said, people who are firm in several languages impress me :)
