kohakuWhy is everyone bitching about OTP? I mean: One True Pairing? I want variety!
There's nothing wrong with having a favorite pairing, and there's nothing wrong with preferring that pairing over other ones. But having your favorite pairing doesn't mean that the authors can't write about other ones. They can write whatever the hell they want. And they will. You don't have to read it.
No one can make me read death stories. Or angst when I feel down. Or fluff when I had enough fluffiness already. That won't keep people from writing it, which is fine.
So, for ultimate happiness, repeat after me: I love variety. I love diversity. I accept the fact that not every author writes my OTP. I accept the fact that there is such thing as OTP. And I won't bitch anymore.
*sighs* I wish it would be that easy.
Read what you want. Write what you want. Do whatever makes you happy.
