Death To Smoochy is so funny! In a dark dark way. I have this ice cream thingies that I really like, and they are shaped like, um, rocket ships. They're even called Rocket Ice or something like that. Ever since we saw the movie everytime I get one of them, my hubby yells: That's not a rocket ship! *blushes*
And, God, Keeping the Faith. I have such a thing for boy as priests. <3 silme711 borrowed me her copy of The Order (http://german.imdb.com/title/tt0304711/) (there are two movies with the same title, therefore the link :) in which Heath is a priest. Mmm. I second that nnnghghghghghhg comment you made! *laughs*
I read the novel before I saw 25th Hour, and it's a damn well made movie. <3 I saw it once. Can't bear to watch it more often :D

German theatres suck. We do get one original version once in a while, but mostly of movies I don't want to see. But with the internet and DVDs, I'm a happy bunny.
Oh, and Jude Law is in Gattace. <3
Both my hubby and me are total film geeks. That's why we own so many DVDs. I suspect I'd have a lot if I were on my own, but not quite as many. :)
I'm a sucker for big movies like Lotr, Gladiator (Oh, Joaquin Phoenix was so brilliant in it! <3), Troy and Master & Commander (again with the Paul Bettany goodness). And I love everything by M. Night Shyamalan, esp. Signs (so far. Haven't seen The Village yet).
I can send you The Reckoning. It's a pretty film, nicely shot, and Paul Bettany is fantastic. It has a harsh story though. But it's brilliant, and a great great movie without special effects, a movie that just tells a story, and does it very well.
