Heh. Well I can't remember at which age Viggo lived here, but it's not unusual at all for danes to speak more than one language. All school children here are thought English and German (or French). On top of that, many of us undertand Sweedish and Norwegian (they are somewhat close to danish.) And if a student desides to go to a gymnasium, after, what I guess would be the same as the US. highschool, they also have the chance to learn Italian, Latin, Russian or Chinese, depending on the school.
(I personally have studied English, German, Italian and Latin, but I only speak German and English (and Danish, of course) *lol* never learned to speak propper Italian or latin.)) Heh.
